Silk has a way of making everyday moments feel a little more special. At OPSUNDBAY, we have created two collections, each shaped by a different idea of what silk can be. One is made to care for you. The other is made to complete the space you sleep in.

Momme (mm) is the traditional unit used to measure the weight and density of silk. One momme equals 4.3 grams of silk per square metre, so the higher the number, the more silk is woven into the fabric. A higher momme gives a heavier, denser and more opaque silk that feels more substantial and lasts longer.

Silk bedding is often sold at 19 momme, but we have chosen not to offer it, as we don’t believe it meets the standard of quality we want for our customers. Instead, we begin at 22 momme. Premium Silk, at 22 momme, offers the balance of softness, drape and durability that makes it a favourite for beautiful bedding, while Deepsilk, at 25 momme, sits at the very top of the range.
